Abstract :
This study examines customer experience and digital banking services at India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), focusing on its role in promoting financial inclusion in rural and semi-urban India. Using a descriptive and exploratory research design, data was collected from customers and field agents through structured questionnaires and interviews. The findings reveal that IPPB’s unique model of leveraging the postal network for doorstep and digital banking has significantly expanded access to financial services. Services like QR cards, Aadhaar-enabled payments, and mobile banking have been well received, though challenges persist in digital literacy, app usability, and technical infrastructure. A majority of respondents reported satisfaction with IPPB’s services and trust in its transactions but highlighted the need for improved awareness, training of agents, and enhanced user-friendly digital platforms. The study concludes that IPPB has emerged as a transformative initiative in inclusive banking, with potential for further growth through strategic improvements in technology, outreach, and service diversification.
