Abstract :

The main aim is to conduct a bibliometric analysis to sequentially review the academic literature linking WFH, performance employee well-being. Work from home (WFH) means doing your job or task from the comfort of your own home instead of doing work in workplace use of different digital tools like computers, internet, and other platforms. This analysis is based on a sample of 117 documents published across 87 journals, books and other sources. This study focusses key bibliometric indicators including publication growth rate, citation impact, keyword usage, author collaboration, and geographical contributions. From 2017 to 2025, the 117 documents analyzed average 2.27 years in age and receive about 16.37 citations each. Together, they cite 7,358 references and include 535 keywords and 372 author-provided keywords and total of 405 authors contributed, averaging 3.59 co-authors per paper, with only 7 single-authored works. International collaboration accounts for 23.93% of the publications. The analysis shows how the COVID-19 pandemic adopts the WFH transforming it from an optional perk into a mainstream work model. This shift has re-evaluated the traditional workplace practices, with many organizations now considering hybrid or fully remote arrangement and its impact on employee well-being and performance. Covering a critical period from 2017 to 2025, it uniquely captures both pre- and post-pandemic shifts in work practices and research focus, providing a foundational reference for future investigations in this evolving field.
